Penguin has reorganized its desk copy operandi, “the COVID-19 pandemic, desk and exam copies will not be fulfilled with print editions – we will instead provide one-year access to an e-book….” Many reviewers such as Publishers Weekly are no longer accepting hardcopy ARCS. Book sales overall have surged as readers seek escapism and education during Corona times.
